All boilers used for fuel switching through the A1 LCS Scheme must be "A" rated with an efficiency of 90% or more and purchased from Plumb Center.

These high efficiency condensing boilers work on the principle of recovering as much waste heat as possible - heat which is normally ejected to the atmosphere from the flue of a conventional (non-condensing) boiler. The best high efficiency condensing boilers convert more than 90% of their fuel into heat, compared to 78% for conventional types.
High efficiency boilers reduce the levels of pollutants emitted to the atmosphere and help to conserve energy consumed by domestic heating appliances and thus helping the environment. This means reduced carbon emissions and fewer greenhouse gases.
