The A1 LCS Scheme was devised by npower as part of their Energy Efficiency Commitment (EEC) programme to improve the energy efficiency of homes. The scheme has allowed smooth transition into the condensing market and has been instrumental in supporting the installation of over 88,000 ‘A’ rated condensing boilers since April 2003 with a combined carbon saving of in excess of 90,000 tonnes.
npower has enabled the scheme to become more than just a boiler scheme by providing training support in the fields of energy efficiency field and solar water heating as well as through providing information through quarterly newsletters and access to new technologies.
npower aims to expand the A1 LCS Scheme in such a way that it provides all registered installers with the opportunity to develop their own business in line with developments in the renewables market by continually expanding the services available to them.
